The Center of Cancer Systems Biology at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine, seeks a motivated individual who is interested in modeling aspects of the role of cancer stem cells in tumor development and therapeutic response. Of particular importance is the establishment of discrete tumor models and simulations utilizing the CompuCell3D platform. Opportunity for accompanying in vitro and animal experimentation is available.
The two-year position is available immediately and advertised until filled. Preferred candidates will be PhDs who are familiar with partial differential equation, numerical simulation and/or discrete or stochastic algorithmic approaches to modeling dynamical phenomena in biology. Background in the issues related to tumor development and tumor kinetics modeling a plus.
